Egypt, Germany keen to boost military co-operation

Egyptian Minister of Military Production Mohamed Salah Eddin Moustafa had talks on Friday with German Ambassador in Cairo Frank Hartmann and his accompanying delegation on means of boosting bilateral co-operation.

During the meeting, the minister reviewed the latest developments related to the co-operation between the military production companies and German companies.

He also discussed a number of proposed future co-operation topics, stressing the Military Production Ministry’s keenness to achieve strategic partnerships that benefit both parties.

For his part, the German ambassador praised the expertise and capabilities of the Egyptian Military Production Ministry and its affiliated entities, which are the first pillar of military industrialisation in Egypt.

He also lauded the ministry’s role in backing the Egyptian State’s efforts to achieve sustainable development.

During the meeting, the German diplomat wished that the third edition of Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX 2023), to be held next week in Egypt, will be successful.

The exhibition will be an opportunity for participating German companies to know more about the latest developments in the defence industries, he further noted.
