As part of the official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Director of the National Museum of Tajikistan Ibrahimzoda Zafarsho Safa met with the Director of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. During the meeting, the parties discussed the issue of signing a cooperation agreement between the National Museum and the National Museum of Copper Civilization.
They stated that within the framework of this agreement, we can work on important issues in the field of museology, including research and study of historical and cultural heritage, organizing temporary exhibitions and restoration of historical monuments, organizing retraining courses for museum staff in both countries, and other areas of museum activity.
Finally, as a symbol of friendship and respect, the leaders of the two institutions presented souvenirs.
The Director of the National Museum of Tajikistan, accompanied by the staff of the National Museum of Tajikistan, visited the Grand Egyptian Museum and after meeting with the Director General of the Grand Egyptian Museum, they inspected some of the exhibits of the museum. The Grand Egyptian Museum is one of the largest historical museums in the world, which reflects the civilization of ancient Egypt.
Located a short distance from the Giza Pyramids, this museum aims to showcase the rich historical and cultural heritage of ancient Egypt.
According to Egyptian officials, the total area of this museum is 600,000 square meters, of which 480,000 square meters are dedicated to museum exhibitions. The museum was built using modern technology and contemporary design, and offers visitors an interactive historical experience.
The Grand Egyptian Museum is not only a place to display ancient artifacts, but also a center for learning and research, as it includes a restoration center, a children’s museum, an entertainment center, a cinema, and other services.
