The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Cairo, Jürgen Scholz, stressed that Egyptian-German relations are historical and based on joint cooperation and mutual respect, explaining that Germany cooperates with Egypt in eight projects.
This came during the German Embassy in Egypt’s event on the occasion of launching the first edition of the Egyptian-German Development Day: Partnerships for the principle of “just transition” towards a sustainable future, with the aim of highlighting and praising the efforts made towards sustainable development.
“Climate crises are no longer far from any country in the world, and have become a tangible reality that greatly affects millions of people worldwide, including in Egypt and Germany,” Scholz said.
He stressed the need to move to a zero-emission future, noting that the future must be comprehensive, just and based on fairness, ensuring that no one is left behind, noting the need to discuss the future with all clarity to reach solutions that satisfy everyone.
