Updates on Al Ahly’s Negotiations with Brazilian Player Everton

By Sama Marwan,

Al Ahly officials have rejected what they consider excessive financial demands from Czech club Baník Ostrava for the transfer of their Brazilian player Everton. Al Ahly’s management has insisted on their recently proposed offer of $2 million to secure the player’s services.

Negotiations for Everton’s transfer have hit a significant roadblock in recent hours due to the Czech club’s inflated financial demands. Despite a clause in the player’s contract allowing him to leave for $1.8 million, Everton has declined to activate this clause, instead expressing his desire to transfer through an agreement between the two clubs.

Al Ahly initially offered to sign the player for the release clause amount, even increasing their proposal to $2 million, to be paid in three installments. However, Baník Ostrava demanded $2.5 million upfront or $3 million in two installments. Al Ahly officials view these demands as unreasonable, causing negotiations to stall.

Despite the recent impasse, the door remains open for further discussions, as both the coaching staff and the club’s management are convinced of Everton’s capabilities and value to the team.
