The Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Centre in Cairo is set to open in August 2025. This state-of-the-art medical facility, designed by the renowned architectural firm Foster + Partners, is located near the Pyramids of Giza and adjacent to the Zewail City of Science and Technology.

The center will feature a 300-bed hospital specializing in advanced cardiac care, providing free treatment to patients from Egypt and beyond, particularly those in sub-Saharan Africa. The design incorporates biophilic principles, emphasizing natural light, ventilation, and landscaped gardens to create a healing environment.

In addition to patient care, the facility will serve as a hub for medical research and training, aiming to advance healthcare solutions and train the next generation of heart surgeons. The integration of surgical departments and intensive care units is intended to foster synergy between research and patient care.

The Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Centre Cairo represents a significant milestone in medical history, marking a first for Egypt and the surrounding region. Its completion is highly anticipated, with the opening scheduled for August 2025.
