Bournemouth vs. Liverpool: Mohamed Salah Challenges Haaland for Premier League Top Scorer Title

Egyptian captain Mohamed Salah aims to maintain his lead in the Premier League’s top scorers’ race as Liverpool faces Bournemouth at 5:00 PM on Saturday at Vitality Stadium in Matchweek 24 of the English Premier League.

Liverpool currently tops the Premier League table with 53 points and is seeking a third consecutive victory to solidify its lead and take another step toward winning the title. The Reds also have a game in hand against Everton.

On the other hand, seventh-placed Bournemouth, with 40 points, is looking to continue its resurgence by securing a third consecutive win, keeping their hopes alive for a top-four finish and Champions League qualification next season.

Mohamed Salah Leads Premier League Scorers’ List

Salah is determined to keep his position as the league’s top scorer, having netted 19 goals so far. He leads Erling Haaland of Manchester City by just one goal and is two goals ahead of Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, who sits third in the race.

Salah & Marmoush Among Top 10 Highest-Paid African Players

Meanwhile, Egyptian duo Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush have been ranked among the highest-paid African footballers, according to the British outlet GivemeSport.

Salah, Liverpool’s star forward, ranks fourth on the list, earning a weekly salary of £350,000.

New Manchester City signing Omar Marmoush, who recently joined from Eintracht Frankfurt, earns £295,000 per week.

Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez, currently playing for Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia, tops the list as the highest-paid African player with a staggering weekly salary of £827,448.

Mahrez surpasses Senegalese star Sadio Mané, who plays for Al-Nassr and earns £634,000 per week, while his fellow countryman, Kalidou Koulibaly, ranks third with a £550,000 weekly salary at Al-Hilal.
