Today, Ambassador Herro Mustafa Garg visited Arish and the Rafah border crossing to monitor the continued implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the opening of the Rafah crossing as stipulated in the agreement.
During her visit, the Ambassador met with North Sinai Governor Major General Khaled Mogawer and expressed gratitude to the Egyptian government for being a key partner in reaching the ceasefire.
She emphasized Egypt’s critical role in ensuring regional stability. Additionally, Ambassador Mustafa-Garg met with humanitarian assistance agencies to confirm that U.S. provided emergency food aid reaches the civilian population in Gaza.
The United States remains committed to working towards regional peace and security and to implementing the ceasefire agreement.
