the Republic of Iraq, through the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, Mr. Fouad Hussein, during his talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Morocco, Mr. Nasser Bourita, praised the continuous efforts made by the Moroccan monarch, King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to support the Palestinian cause and defend the Holy City of Jerusalem in order to preserve its cultural identity and maintain its status as a symbol of tolerance and coexistence between the various heavenly religions, as well as in supporting the steadfastness of the people of Jerusalem through projects of a humanitarian and social nature carried out by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, the executive arm of the Al-Quds Committee.
On the other hand, the Iraqi minister, during his official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, which lasted from February 5 to 9, “reaffirmed its firm and supportive position on the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco”, praising “the international momentum supporting the autonomy plan” to resolve the conflict over the Sahara issue, which is the official position included in a joint statement adopted by the two parties.
The head of Iraqi diplomacy also praised the efforts made by Morocco to reach a realistic political solution based on consensus, based on the relevant resolutions issued by the United Nations Security Council.
The head of Iraqi diplomacy praised the level of “full” and “intensive” coordination that characterizes Moroccan-Iraqi relations.
