Russian Army Launches Massive Strike Targeting Ukrainian Military Facilities

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Wednesday, that Russian forces carried out a coordinated strike targeting key Ukrainian military installations, inflicting heavy losses on Kyiv’s forces.

Targeted Attacks on Ukrainian Military Facilities

According to a statement published by Russia’s Sputnik News Agency, the Russian military launched a missile strike on workshops belonging to Ukraine’s military-industrial complex, which manufacture drones. The ministry confirmed that all intended targets were successfully destroyed.

The statement added:
“Units of Russia’s ‘Center’ Group of Forces continued their offensive operations, targeting Ukrainian personnel and equipment in several areas of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 510 soldiers, several artillery pieces, and four armored combat vehicles.”

Additionally, the ‘West’ Group of Russian Forces made tactical improvements along the frontline, targeting Ukrainian troops and equipment in Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions. According to the ministry:
“Ukrainian forces suffered over 210 casualties, and we destroyed one tank, two armored personnel carriers, several artillery systems, three ammunition depots, and three electronic warfare stations (two of the ‘Kvertus’ model and one ‘Zakhyst-AF’ model).”

Further Russian Advances

  • ‘South’ Group of Forces:
    Improved their positions along the frontline, striking Ukrainian forces in multiple locations across the Donetsk region. The Ukrainian army lost 215 soldiers, three armored vehicles, several artillery pieces, and two ammunition depots.
  • ‘East’ Group of Forces:
    Advanced deeper into Ukrainian defensive positions, targeting troops and equipment in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia. Ukrainian forces suffered over 150 casualties, while one tank, several artillery units, and a radar station were destroyed.

Airstrikes and Defense Operations

The Russian Air Force, along with drones, missile, and artillery units, inflicted significant damage on enemy troop gatherings, equipment, and foreign mercenary positions in 139 locations.

Additionally, Russian air defense systems intercepted and shot down:

  • 12 HIMARS missiles
  • Two Hammer guided bombs
  • 66 Ukrainian drones

The Russian Ministry of Defense emphasized that these operations are part of an ongoing effort to weaken Ukraine’s military capabilities and disrupt its defense operations.
