The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Saturday, that Russian forces have taken control of the town of Berezovka in Donetsk, advancing across several axes of the special military operation.
In a statement reported by the Russian news agency Sputnik, the ministry stated that units from the “Center” group of forces had seized the village of Berezovka in Donetsk. The statement added that Russian forces eliminated concentrations of enemy personnel and destroyed Ukrainian Armed Forces equipment in the areas of Shcherbinovka, Udachnoye, Zverevka, Kotlino, Novoandriivka, and Nadezhdinka in Donetsk.
The statement further noted that Ukrainian losses amounted to up to 490 soldiers, one armored combat vehicle, five vehicles, and six field artillery pieces.
Regarding the Kharkiv front, units from the “North” group of forces eliminated Ukrainian military formations in the Volchansk and Liptsy areas. The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this sector were estimated at 50 soldiers, one armored personnel carrier, two vehicles, three artillery pieces, and an ammunition depot.
The statement also mentioned that units from the “West” group of forces had reinforced their positions and targeted Ukrainian troops and equipment in the areas of Zelenyi Hai and Novosynovo in Kharkiv, Chandrigolovo in Donetsk, and Novogorovka in Luhansk. The Ukrainian forces reportedly lost up to 185 soldiers, three armored combat vehicles (including two M113 armored personnel carriers), five vehicles, and five field artillery pieces. Additionally, three electronic warfare stations and three ammunition depots were destroyed.
Meanwhile, units from the “South” group of forces seized key lines and positions, targeting Ukrainian military units in the areas of Kramatorsk, Konstantinovka, Katerynivka, Klyban Byk, Ivanopil, and Bakhmut in Donetsk. According to the statement, Ukrainian losses in these areas amounted to 205 soldiers, five armored combat vehicles, two vehicles, and four field artillery pieces, while two electronic warfare stations were destroyed.
