China’s ambassador in Cairo: Egypt with President Sisi step towards building ‘new republic’

China’s Ambassador to Cairo Liao Liqiang stressed that Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, is making great strides towards building the “new republic”, and is achieving outstanding achievements in building the nation, explaining that President Sisi puts the people first in the process of governing and advancing the country.

This came in a speech delivered by the Chinese ambassador on Tuesday, at the ceremony of handing over and receiving the community cooperation project in the Asmarat neighborhood.

He added that President Sisi pays great attention to ensuring and improving the lives of citizens, and that is why he put forward many initiatives, including the initiative (a decent life), pointing out that bilateral relations under the leadership of President Sisi and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping have witnessed a historic boom of development in the past ten years.

He said that bilateral cooperation has achieved fruitful results in various fields, so that it has become a role model for solidarity and cooperation based on mutual benefit and win-win between China and Arab, African and developing countries. He added that next year Egypt and China will celebrate the 10th anniversary of establishing comprehensive strategic relations.

He expressed his conviction that Egyptian-Chinese relations will witness a new decade in which mutual trust and understanding between peoples will become more solider, and more fruitful results will be achieved. He stressed that young people and children represent the hope of the homeland and play a role in developing the future of bilateral relations.

In turn, Engineer Ahmed Ibrahim, head of Al-Asmarat neighborhood, said that President Sisi pays great attention to taking care of families and providing them with a decent life.
