The Greek Ambassador to Cairo, Nikolaos Papageorgiou, expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s handling of the current crisis due to the Israeli conflict in the Gaza Strip. He commended Egypt for navigating these challenging and turbulent times with wisdom, advocating for lasting calm and peace in the Palestinian territories.
This statement was part of the ambassador’s speech at a centenary celebration of the birth of Greek artist Maria Callas. The event, attended by Egypt’s Minister of Culture Nevin El-Kilany and various dignitaries and foreign ambassadors in Egypt, was held at the Cairo Opera House. Ambassador Papageorgiou also highlighted the evening as a wonderful moment for collaboration between the Greek Embassy and the Cairo Opera House, looking forward to future cooperation.
