Mohamed Salah Breaks Fantasy Premier League Record

By Sama Marwan,

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah continues to shine with Liverpool, making history in Fantasy Premier League by achieving 306 points this season, breaking his previous record of 303 points, set in the 2017/18 season.

This milestone came after Salah led his team to a 3-1 victory against Southampton, scoring two penalty goals and earning 12 points, plus three additional bonus points. His total for Gameweek 28 reached 15 points, according to the game’s scoring system.

Salah Nearing the 400-Point Mark

With nine matches remaining for Liverpool this season, Salah has the potential to achieve an unprecedented milestone. If he maintains his current average of 10.6 points per match, he is projected to reach 401 points by the season’s end, becoming the first player in FPL history to surpass 400 points.

Stats also show that Salah has collected 98 points in previous games against the remaining teams Liverpool will face. If he repeats this performance, his total could reach 404 points, a record never achieved before in FPL history.

Salah’s Record-Breaking Performances

Currently, Salah ranks third on the list of players with the most goal contributions for a single club in Premier League history.

In the 3-1 win against Southampton at Anfield during Gameweek 28, Salah scored twice from the penalty spot, taking his league goal tally to 27—seven goals ahead of his closest competitor, Erling Haaland of Manchester City. Additionally, he has provided 17 assists this season.

Salah needs 10 more goal contributions to surpass Wayne Rooney and become the most involved player in goals for a single club in Premier League history.

Most Goal Contributions for One Club in Premier League History:

  1. Wayne Rooney (Manchester United) – 276
  2. Ryan Giggs (Manchester United) – 271
  3. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – 267
  4. Harry Kane (Tottenham) – 262
  5. Thierry Henry (Arsenal) – 249

Salah’s achievements continue to cement his status as one of the greatest players in Premier League history.
