According to Reuters, North Korea has reaffirmed that its nuclear forces will remain indefinitely, accusing the G7 nations of nuclear hegemony. The regime also vowed to continue modernizing and strengthening its nuclear arsenal.
North Korea warned that any U.S. military reinforcements would be eliminated in the event of war, condemning Washington’s deployment of additional stealth fighter jets in Japan earlier in March.
According to South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency, North Korea’s state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) published a major article today, criticizing the recent U.S. deployment of F-35B fighter jets to Iwakuni Air Base in Japan. The article accused Washington of increasing the risk of nuclear war.
Escalating Tensions
KCNA stated that:
- “The additional deployment of offensive war reinforcements to handle emergencies on the Korean Peninsula raises the unpredictability of actual armed conflict and nuclear war every hour.”
- “The U.S.’s reckless military adventurism justifies and necessitates even stronger warnings from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).”
The article also threatened that:
- “U.S. anti-communist bases remain within the DPRK’s continuous scope of vision and targeting.”
- “Any U.S. military reinforcements will be contained and completely destroyed.”
With tensions escalating, North Korea’s defiant stance signals further military confrontations and a continued nuclear arms race in the region.
