Ambassador Jürgen Scholz presented his credentials to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi today as Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Arab Republic of Egypt, during an official ceremony in Cairo.
Ambassador Scholz expressed his deep appreciation for the historical and close relations between Egypt and Germany, emphasizing his commitment to strengthening these relations in various fields. He explained that the two countries share long-standing cooperation in the sectors of trade, culture, education, and development, in addition to joint coordination to achieve peace and stability in the region.
Ambassador Scholz said, “It is a great honor to be Germany’s Ambassador to Egypt, as Egypt plays a pivotal role in achieving regional stability and leads many diplomatic initiatives and security policies. We have strong and enduring relations with Egypt, and cooperation between our two countries is a solid foundation of our foreign policy.” Together, we can strengthen the German-Egyptian partnership, contributing to greater stability and prosperity in the region.”
The ambassador indicated that his priorities during his tenure will focus on strengthening diplomatic, economic, and cultural exchange between the two countries, with a focus on cooperation in the fields of energy and education.
He added that there are promising opportunities to deepen the strategic partnership between Egypt and Germany, which serves the interests of both countries and contributes to supporting development and stability efforts in the region.
It is worth noting that Ambassador Scholz seeks to focus on strengthening diplomatic, economic, and cultural exchange between the two countries, particularly cooperation in the various fields of energy and education.
