Official Line-ups for Bayern vs. Inter Clash in the Champions League Quarter-Final

Both Vincent Kompany and Simone Inzaghi, head coaches of Bayern Munich and Inter Milan respectively, have announced their official starting line-ups for the highly anticipated match kicking off at 9 PM (Tuesday evening) at the Allianz Arena, in the second leg of the 2024–2025 UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. The return leg will be played on Wednesday, April 16, at San Siro.


Bayern Munich Line-up

  • Goalkeeper: Urbig

  • Defenders: Minjae, Eric Dier, Guerreiro, Kimmich

  • Midfielders: Goretzka, Laimer, Stanisic

  • Forwards: Harry Kane, Leroy Sané, Olise


Inter Milan Line-up

  • Goalkeeper: Sommer

  • Defenders: Pavard, Acerbi, Bastoni, Darmian

  • Midfielders: Barella, Çalhanoğlu, Mkhitaryan

  • Forwards: Carlos, Thuram, Lautaro


Bayern vs. Inter

Bayern Munich is aiming to continue its charge toward a seventh UEFA Champions League title, having already claimed six in its history, the most recent of which was in 2020, under former coach Hansi Flick, after defeating Paris Saint-Germain 1–0 in the final.

In contrast, Inter Milan is looking to secure a positive result in this leg to strengthen its position before the return match and to push for a place in the semi-finals, as the club seeks a fourth Champions League title.


Road to the Quarter-Finals

  • Bayern Munich qualified after convincingly defeating fellow German side Bayer Leverkusen with a 5-0 aggregate (3-0 in the first leg and 2-0 in the second at Allianz Arena).

  • Inter Milan advanced past Dutch club Feyenoord.


Bayern’s Injury Woes

Bayern Munich is currently struggling with a number of injuries, the most recent being Jamal Musiala, who will be out for at least two months due to a serious injury sustained during the team’s last match against Augsburg in the 28th round of the Bundesliga.

They’re also missing three defenders for the rest of the season:

  • Alphonso Davies (Canada)

  • Dayot Upamecano (France)

  • Hiroki Ito (Japan)
    In addition, Kingsley Coman (winger) and Alexander Pavlovic (midfielder) are also unavailable.


Thomas Müller’s Farewell

Bayern Munich recently announced that legendary forward Thomas Müller will be leaving the club this summer, ending a remarkable 25-year journey with the Bavarian giants. He will play his final matches at the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, from June 15 to July 13.

Müller has a decorated history with Bayern, winning 33 titles and setting a club record with 743 official appearances.
