Turkish Minister of Labor and Social Security Visits Cairo to Discuss Cooperation

Turkish Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Isikhan and his accompanying delegation visited Cairo at the invitation of Egyptian Minister of Labor Mohamed Gebran.

The action plan for the cooperation agreement signed between the two sides during President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s visit to Ankara on September 4th, along with the work of the committee tasked with implementing it, was also discussed during the talks.

The Turkish Minister invited his Egyptian counterpart to visit Turkey, and the visit is expected to take place in the coming months.

During the visit, which was attended by Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen, Minister Isikhan visited the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids. He toured the rich antiquities, statues, and other monuments that embody the beauty of Egyptian civilization, accompanied by a tour guide. He received information about the museum’s opening from Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen.

The Minister, accompanied by Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen, also visited the Quran House at the Grand Egyptian Mosque at the Egyptian Islamic Cultural Center and signed the commemorative book.

In his speech in the commemorative book, he thanked everyone who contributed to this great work for the Islamic world and the rapid completion of this building, in accordance with President Sisi’s directives. He also received information about the inscription of the Holy Quran on marble and its preservation until the Day of Judgment, particularly in the House of the Holy Quran, and expressed his appreciation to those in charge of this work.

Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen said in a press statement that the visit was very successful and fruitful, and that cooperation between the two countries in the field of employment and labor will continue to strengthen and deepen in the coming period.

Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen added that other ministerial visits from Türkiye to Egypt are planned for the coming period.
