Former U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to dismiss government employees if they refuse to uphold and promote the president’s new policies, asserting that “from now on, government workers will be held to the highest standards of conduct and performance.”
Trump stated, “The federal government will finally be run like a business,” adding that “the Office of Personnel Management will issue new civil service regulations for professional government employees.”
He further emphasized, “We must root out corruption and enforce accountability among federal employees.”
