Trump and UK Prime Minister Discuss Ukraine Crisis and Iran File in Phone Call

The spokesperson for the British Cabinet announced in a statement on Friday that Prime Minister Keir Starmer discussed trade, the Ukraine crisis, the Iran file, and measures against the Houthis with U.S. President Donald Trump during a phone conversation.

The spokesperson stated: “Prime Minister Keir Starmer and U.S. President Donald Trump began by discussing the ongoing and constructive trade talks between the United Kingdom and the United States. They also discussed the situation in Ukraine, the Iran file, and recent actions against the Houthis in Yemen.”

The spokesperson added that Starmer reaffirmed his commitment to free and open trade and the importance of protecting national interests. The conversation took place the day after a meeting in Paris between representatives from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Ukraine.
