Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that China is contributing to the production of Russian Iskander missiles.
He stated that Ukraine has expanded its sanctions list to include nearly a hundred additional entities—both individuals and legal entities—most of whom are involved in the production of Iskander missiles, like the ones that struck Kharkiv.
Zelensky confirmed via his official account on platform “X” that while many of these entities are Russian, unfortunately, some are Chinese.
He also noted that emergency response operations are still ongoing in the city of Kharkiv following the Russian missile strike.
Preliminary reports indicate that one of the Iskander cruise missiles exploded mid-air over a residential neighborhood, while another struck an industrial site near a populated area.
As a result of the strike, regular residential buildings were damaged, and a large number of people—over a hundred—were injured.
