President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi extended his congratulations to his Gabonese counterpart, Brice Oligui Nguema, on the occasion of his victory in the presidential elections, praising the results as a reflection of popular confidence in Gabon’s leadership. He also expressed his appreciation for the conduct of the elections as a fundamental step in completing Gabon’s transitional process, affirming his support for President Nguema’s efforts to achieve comprehensive development and promote regional integration within the African continent.
This came during a phone call made by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi today with Gabonese President Brice Oligui Nguema.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shinawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency, stated that the President was keen to congratulate the Gabonese President on his election victory and the popular confidence reflected by the results. He praised the holding of the presidential elections as an essential step in completing the transitional path of the brotherly nation of Gabon, expressing his wishes for success in President Nguema’s mission to achieve comprehensive development in Gabon and to advance regional integration across Africa.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shinawy also added that the call discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation to serve the interests of both countries and fulfill the aspirations of their friendly peoples. Egypt reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Gabon in its development journey and stressed the importance of strengthening economic and investment cooperation between the two nations.
