U.S. Ambassador to Egypt, Herro Mustafa Garg, joined Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Amr Talaat, and Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, Hossam Heiba, in a virtual event to explore business and investment opportunities for American companies in Egypt’s growing ICT sector. The discussion spotlighted potential collaborations in areas such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, data centers, telecommunications, and smart technologies.
Minister Talaat emphasized Egypt’s commitment to expanding partnerships with U.S. companies in the field of advanced technologies, expressing a strong interest in attracting high-value investments that support digital transformation.
Ambassador Mustafa Garg reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to supporting American firms contributing to Egypt’s digital progress by delivering cutting-edge solutions and expertise. She noted that strong economic ties between both countries generate employment, boost growth opportunities, and foster shared prosperity.
This event marked the third “Direct Line” call hosted by the U.S. Embassy in partnership with the Egyptian government, following previous sessions focused on healthcare and port development. The U.S. Embassy remains dedicated to supporting American businesses seeking to engage in Egypt’s economic development journey.
