The President of the Arab Parliament Mr. Adel bin AbdulRahman AlAsoomi, welcomed the adoption by the Danish Parliament of a law criminalising the burning of the Holy Quran, stressing that it is a step on the right path to respect religions and prevent the recurrence of crimes that threaten international security and stability as a result of the increasing incidents of burning the Holy Quran.
AlAsoomi invited Western countries to follow this important step taken by the Danish Parliament, emphasizing the need to enact such law in all Western countries to affirm their respect for divine religions and to prevent the recurrence of crimes of burning or infringing the Holy Quran without deterrent punishment.
