Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, praised, in a joint press conference with his Moroccan counterpart, Mr. Nasser Bourita, following their talks on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in Rabat, the Kingdom of Morocco’s firm and supportive positions on the Palestinian cause, including the role of the Al-Quds Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, chaired by the Moroccan King, King Mohammed VI, and its executive arm, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, in supporting the steadfastness of the people of Jerusalem and the Arab and Islamic character and legal status of the Holy City.
For his part, Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita affirmed his country’s full and unwavering support for Egypt’s legitimate rights regarding its water security, emphasizing that Egypt’s water security is an integral part of Arab national security. He emphasized the need to resolve the dispute through political dialogue that guarantees the historical rights of all parties, and that negotiation is the only way to achieve water security and regional stability.
It is worth noting that Minister Abdel Aty’s official working visit to Morocco falls within the framework of the remarkable positive dynamics in relations between the two brotherly countries, and the desire of both sides to develop and elevate them to higher levels, so that they live up to the aspirations of the leaders of the two countries, His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco and his brother, His Excellency the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
