Barcelona, Spain – FC Barcelona has officially announced the departure of its player Alex Valle on a permanent deal to Italian club Como 1907 during the current summer transfer window.
Barcelona released a statement on its official website: “Como 1907 has exercised the option to buy Alex Valle’s contract, and as such, the player is no longer tied to FC Barcelona.”
The club added, “The transfer fee is €6 million. The Club wishes the player all the best for the future, both on and off the field.”
Como had previously informed Barcelona of its intention to pay the €6 million release clause after the player’s successful loan spell, which began last January. This encouraged the Italian club to make the decision to sign him permanently.
Despite interest from several clubs, including Spain’s Real Betis and Germany’s Borussia Dortmund, Como successfully finalized the deal.
The continuity of coach Cesc Fàbregas at the helm of Como’s technical staff was a crucial factor in accelerating negotiations, as he showed keen interest in securing Valle’s services. Final meetings have already been held to iron out the remaining aspects.
According to the financial agreement between the two clubs, the transfer fee will be paid in two installments: the first, valued at €4 million, is being paid now, with the remaining €2 million due in the summer of 2026, bringing the total transfer to €6 million.
Alex Valle had previously renewed his contract with Barcelona until 2026 before moving on loan to Celtic last summer, and subsequently to Como, also on loan.
