President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call today, Saturday, from Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during which the latter extended his congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, wishing the Egyptian government and people continued progress and prosperity.
In response, President El-Sisi expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation for the warm wishes, extending his own best regards to the government and people of Pakistan, wishing them lasting stability and prosperity. He emphasized Egypt’s commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation across various fields to serve the mutual interests of both brotherly nations. Both leaders also affirmed the importance of strengthening consultation and coordination between the two countries on regional and international issues, in a way that contributes to achieving security, stability, and development.
Yesterday morning, Friday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi performed the Eid al-Adha prayer at the Egypt Islamic Cultural Center (Misr Mosque) in the New Administrative Capital.
According to the official spokesperson for the Presidency, President El-Sisi was received upon his arrival for the Eid prayer by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Minister of Religious Endowments Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, and several other ministers. The Eid prayer was also attended by a large number of senior state officials, and President El-Sisi exchanged greetings with them on this blessed occasion.
