Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a phone call from President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Felix Tshisekedi.

According to the Egyptian Presidential Spokesperson, the call concerned bilateral relations between the two countries. They both discussed the most significant areas of collaboration and affirmed their desire to work together to expand them to wider areas in view of the close relations between the two sides. President Sisi also reiterated Egypt’s commitment to supporting the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s development efforts. This commitment is in keeping with the long standing and close relationship between the two countries.

The Egyptian Presidential Spokesperson also said that the call discussed the situation in Africa. The two presidents reaffirmed their commitment to working together to promote peace, security, and development on the continent. They also emphasized the importance of African unity and cooperation in accomplishing these goals.
