Real Madrid Officially Signs Argentine Gem Mastantuono from River Plate

Spanish club Real Madrid officially announced today, Friday, that it has signed rising Argentine star Franco Mastantuono on a six-year contract, which will run from August 14, 2025, to June 30, 2031.

The 17-year-old Mastantuono is considered one of the brightest young talents in Argentine football. He developed through the River Plate academy between 2019 and 2024, and caught widespread attention with his impressive performances for the first team during the 2024–2025 season. He made history by becoming the youngest goal scorer in River Plate’s history and played a key role in winning the Argentine Super Cup.

On the international stage, Mastantuono set another record by becoming the youngest player to represent Argentina in an official match, a milestone that reflects the high expectations for his future in European football.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid will compete in the Club World Cup group stage, where they are set to face Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, Austria’s Salzburg, and Mexico’s Pachuca.
