The American parcel delivery giant FedEx has announced the suspension of all parcel shipments destined for Israel and Iraq, amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The company, listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol FDX.N, stated on its website today, Friday, that it has halted some of its flights to destinations in the region due to the ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran. It emphasized that it is closely monitoring developments and will adjust its operations in line with safety requirements and on-the-ground conditions.
The company added that the safety of its employees, customers, and the communities it serves remains its top priority.
It is worth noting that Danish shipping giant “Maersk” also announced today a temporary suspension of maritime trips to the Port of Haifa in Israel, due to security concerns related to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.
