Russian presidential spokesperson (the Kremlin), Dmitry Peskov, expressed today, Tuesday, Moscow’s welcome of the ceasefire reached between Israel and Iran.
Peskov said: “If Iran and Israel have indeed reached a ceasefire, that would be a welcome development,” adding that “this is exactly what Russia has been calling for since the beginning of the conflict,” according to the Russian news agency TASS.
The Kremlin spokesperson continued, saying, “We hope this ceasefire will be sustainable.”
Earlier today, Trump announced a full ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran, stating that “after 24 hours, it will mark the official end of the war between Israel and Iran.”
