U.S. President Donald Trump has announced the conclusion of a trade agreement with Vietnam.
Trump said, “If the bill to reduce spending and taxes is passed, America will witness an economic renaissance like it has never seen before.”
He confirmed that he is not considering extending the tariff deadline that ends on July 9, noting that trade negotiations are ongoing with Germany and Spain.
The U.S. president, in statements on Tuesday, emphasized that around 21 million people cannot be allowed to enter U.S. territory illegally.
He praised the performance of the Senate for passing the tax bill, and also commended the Republicans in the U.S. Senate for passing the budget bill, stressing that the spending bill puts the country on a path to massive prosperity.
Trump underscored that Japan has profited at the expense of the U.S. over the past 40 years, pointing out that it has not imported American cars for an entire decade.
