Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit said the 153 member states’ support of a draft resolution presented by the UN General Assembly on Gaza ceasefire reflects the majority of international public opinion’s backing of this call.
Posting on his “X” account Wednesday, Abul Gheit said that a thumping 153 member states voted in favor of the resolution, with only 10 including the US, Israel and Austria voting against and 23 – including the UK and Germany – abstaining.
Those who reject the resolution are standing on the wrong side of history, he made it clear.
