The Egyptian Ministry of Finance published today the pay schedules for public employees in January, February, and March 2024.
According to the announcement, salaries will be paid over five days each month, with three days set aside for the payment of outstanding dues. The schedules will take into account holidays and other official days off.
According to Sherif Khairy, head of the Accounts and Financial Directorates sector, the schedule has been changed to account for Christmas, and unpaid dues for January will be paid beginning on Thursday, January 4, rather than Sunday, January 7.
He explained that employees in all administrative organizations will be paid their January salary on the following dates: January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28. Outstanding January dues will be paid on the following dates: 4, 8, and 9.
February salaries will be paid on the following dates: February 22, 25, 26, 27, and 28. Dues for February will be paid on the following dates: February 8, 11, and 12.
March salaries will be paid on the following dates: March 21, 24, 25, 26, and 27. March dues will be paid on the following dates: March 7, 10, and 11.
The Ministry of Finance urged administrative organizations to notify their employees of the start date of the payment schedule to help reduce crowding at ATMs.
