Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, sent a telegram of congratulations to President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Republic for a new presidential term.
Through the telegram, the King expressed his sincere congratulations and sincere wishes to His Excellency for good health and happiness, praying to God Almighty to grant President Sisi success in leading the brotherly Egyptian people to achieve all their aspirations towards further progress and prosperity, and for the relations of the two brotherly countries to further develop and flourish.
On Monday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi won a third presidential term with 89.6 percent of the votes, the National Elections Authority announced.
The Egyptian National Elections Authority stated that the participation rate in the presidential elections was 66.8 percent of the votes.
Al-Sisi received 39 million 702 thousand 451 votes, or 89.6% of the total valid votes.
The elections took place over three days, from the tenth to the twelfth of December.
