Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the United Arab Emirates, congratulated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on his victory in a new presidential term in the 2024 presidential elections.
The UAE President said: “I congratulate my brother Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on winning the confidence of the Egyptian people in the recent presidential elections, and I wish him success in achieving more achievements for the development and prosperity of sisterly Egypt.”
He added: “The UAE and Egypt have fraternal and historical relations, and we will continue to work to strengthen these relations for the good of our two peoples and to support cooperation and stability in the region.”
On Monday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi won a third presidential term with 89.6 percent of the votes, the National Elections Authority announced.
The Egyptian National Elections Authority stated that the participation rate in the presidential elections was 66.8 percent of the votes.
Al-Sisi received 39 million 702 thousand 451 votes, or 89.6% of the total valid votes.
