Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, congratulated President Sisi on winning a new presidential term.
He said: “I congratulate my brother, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, on his victory in the presidential elections… and we congratulate the Egyptian people on this march.”
He added: “We wish them continued prosperity and stability… and we affirm the depth of popular, economic and future relations under the leadership of the two brotherly countries.”
On Monday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi won a third presidential term with 89.6 percent of the votes, the National Elections Authority announced.
The Egyptian National Elections Authority stated that the participation rate in the presidential elections was 66.8 percent of the votes.
Al-Sisi received 39 million 702 thousand 451 votes, or 89.6% of the total valid votes.
