The Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Cairo and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Tariq Al-Ansari, congratulated President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on winning a new presidential term.
The ambassador said in a post on his account on the social networking site “Facebook”: “I extend my sincere congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the brotherly Egyptian people on the occasion of His Excellency’s re-election for a new presidential term in order to continue the process of construction and achievement, wishing Egypt’s leadership, government and people further progress, stability and prosperity.” Under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.”
He added that it is fortunate that the day of announcing the election results, December 18, falls on the National Day of the State of Qatar.
On Monday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi won a third presidential term with 89.6 percent of the votes, the National Elections Authority announced.
The Egyptian National Elections Authority stated that the participation rate in the presidential elections was 66.8 percent of the votes.
Al-Sisi received 39 million 702 thousand 451 votes, or 89.6% of the total valid votes.
