Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday congratulated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on his re-election as president of Egypt for another six years, until 2030.
On Monday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi won a third presidential term with 89.6 percent of the votes, according to what the National Elections Authority announced.
The Egyptian National Elections Authority stated that the participation rate in the presidential elections was 66.8 percent of the votes.
President Sisi received 39 million 702 thousand 451 votes, or 89.6% of the total valid votes.
In a speech after the victory, President Sisi stressed that Egypt places building human beings at the top of its priorities and seeks to provide them with a decent life.
The Egyptian President indicated that he “will be the voice of the Egyptians and a defender of their dream.”
