More world leaders congratulate Sisi for winning third presidential term

Numerous world leaders expressed their congratulations to Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on his re-election for a third term, after the National Elections Authority (NEA) declared his triumph in the 2024 elections on Monday. Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a heartfelt message on the Kremlin’s website, praised El-Sisi’s victory and wished him all the best for his new 6-year term, which was secured by the highest number of votes in the elections. “Dear Mr. President, please accept my sincere congratulations on your re-election as President. Your resounding success in the elections is a clear testament to the widespread recognition of your efforts in tackling social, economic, and foreign policy challenges facing Egypt,” the statement read.

Putin also reiterated Russia’s commitment to further strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly within the framework of BRICS. Mahmoud Abbas, President of Palestine, also extended his congratulations to El-Sisi on his victory in the 2024 presidential elections, as reported by Palestinian news agency WAFA. In his message, Abbas noted that El-Sisi’s re-election is a sign of his continued dedication to achieving even greater advancements and preserving Egypt’s position as a leader in the Arab, regional, and international arenas. He also expressed his gratitude to El-Sisi for Egypt’s ongoing support in providing humanitarian aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, as well as their efforts to end Israeli aggression in the region.

King Abdullah II bin Hussein of Jordan and Sudan’s Chairman of Sovereignty Council Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan also personally called El-Sisi to offer their congratulations on his successful third term in office.
