Christian Berger, head of the European Union delegation to Egypt, denied all circulating reports and news indicating that the European Union is providing billions of dollars in financial aid to Egypt with the aim of convincing it to receive Palestinians from the Gaza Strip as part of the displacement plan.
The European Union ambassador said, during a press conference, that there is no link between the financial aid and investments provided by the European Union to Egypt and cooperation with Cairo, and between attempts to persuade it to receive Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and the displacement plan, stressing that cooperation between Cairo and Brussels has existed for a long time, Indeed, the Union is implementing a number of huge projects in the country.
