The results of a survey conducted by AirHelp, a specialized aviation company, revealed that the best airport in the world is Muscat International Airport in the Sultanate of Oman.
According to the company’s survey published by the Saudi “Al Sharq Bloomberg” channel website, Recife Guararapes International Airport in Brazil and Cape Town International Airport in South Africa came in second and third places, respectively.
AirHelp Inc., a company that defends passengers by filing claims on behalf of customers related to flight disruptions, which include cancellations, delays and lost baggage.
Every year, the company releases an analysis of more than 4,000 airports in its global database to determine the best and worst performing airports. Factors taken into consideration include each airport’s on-time performance, as well as customer feedback about the airport’s navigation, dining and shopping options.
This year’s survey reflected data collected from January 1 to September 30, as well as survey responses from more than 15,800 travelers.
The results indicate that the best airport in the world is Muscat International Airport in the Sultanate of Oman. In second and third place, respectively, are Recife Guararapes International Airport in Brazil and Cape Town International Airport in South Africa.
