The Arab Parliament welcomes the arrival of the UN road map to support the peace process in Yemen

The Arab Parliament welcomed the statement issued by the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen regarding reaching a road map to support the peace path and the parties concerned in Yemen reaching a set of measures that include implementing a ceasefire that includes all of Yemen, paying all public sector salaries, resuming oil exports, and opening… roads in Taiz and other parts of Yemen, continuing to ease restrictions imposed on Sanaa Airport and Hodeidah Port, and engaging in preparations to resume an inclusive political process under the auspices of the United Nations.

The Arab Parliament expressed its hope that these measures would contribute to reaching a political solution to end the crisis in Yemen, stressing the need for all parties to commit to implementing these measures to achieve positive results for the current situation in the Republic of Yemen.

The Arab Parliament appreciated the tireless efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to create the atmosphere to reach these measures, reiterating its support for all Arab and international efforts that aim to reach a comprehensive and final political solution to the crisis in accordance with the three references agreed upon locally, regionally and internationally, which are the Gulf Initiative, its executive mechanisms and the outcomes. The comprehensive national dialogue and relevant Security Council resolutions.
