Mr. Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, stressed the importance of the pivotal and active role played by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, under the leadership of King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, to support and enhance joint Arab action, preserve the security and safety of the region, and defend the Palestinian cause, especially under the guardianship. Al-Asoumi appreciated the firm position of the Kingdom of Jordan towards the Palestinian issue and the continued protection and care of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, and Jordan’s full support for the Palestinian brothers in achieving their legitimate rights and establishing their independent, sovereign and viable state with Jerusalem as its capital, praising the King’s efforts to reach a final decision to stop the launch of the war. Al-Asoumi pointed out the Arab Parliament’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with the Jordanian House of Representatives in all fields, given its distinguished and tireless contributions to supporting and strengthening Arab cooperation and working to advance joint cooperation to the highest levels in serving the issues of the Arab nation and the interest of the great Arab people.
For his part, the head of the Jordanian delegation praised the great contributions made by the Arab Parliament to serve the interests of the Arab nation at all Arab, regional and international levels, especially the great efforts made by the President of the Arab Parliament to serve the Palestinian cause through his active participation in all forums, which contributes to supporting the Palestinian brothers and strengthening their position. And their just cause, as well as the initiatives launched by the Arab Parliament in all political, economic and social fields, enhancing the role of women, as well as issues of human rights, education, cybersecurity, protecting the Arabic language, and other initiatives launched by the Parliament during the past period.
