The UAE Ambassador to Cairo: Organizing the eighth edition of the Zayed Charity Race is a confirmation of the distinguished relations between the two brotherly countries

Ambassador Maryam Al-Kaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, congratulated Egypt’s leadership, government and people on the occasion of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi’s victory for a new presidential term, following up: “I ask God Almighty to grant him success for what is good, development and prosperity for Egypt.” Sisterly, and supporting the issues of the Arab and Islamic nations.”

This came during the press conference to announce new details about the eighth edition of the Zayed Charity Race, which this year will be hosted by the New Administrative Capital, next Saturday, the thirtieth of December, and it is the edition whose proceeds will be allocated to the benefit of the People’s Hospital, the Misr Al-Khair Foundation, the People of Egypt Hospital, and other hospitals. Government at Al-Azhar University.

The ambassador added: The relations between the United Arab Emirates and the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt are characterized by being close fraternal relations, the solid foundations of which were laid by the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and sponsored by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and his brother, President Abdul Al-Fattah Al-Sisi.

She added: The organization of the eighth edition of the Zayed Charity Race in Egypt comes in light of the distinguished relations between the two brotherly countries, and in light of the great support provided by the wise leadership in the UAE for charitable and humanitarian initiatives.

The ambassador continued: The Zayed Charity Race has become an occasion to highlight the distinguished position of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the UAE, in the hearts and minds of the brotherly Egyptian people. Therefore, the previous seven sessions witnessed great participation from all segments of the Egyptian people, and also witnessed intense interest and keenness from all sides. And Egyptian officials to make this race a success.

The ambassador added that the Zayed Charity Race confirms, year after year, the noble goal behind its organization in sisterly Egypt, which is to spread goodness and giving in many Egyptian governorates. The proceeds from the eight sessions of the race have been allocated to treat patients, including children with cancer and liver disease patients. In addition to supporting a number of hospitals, including the Ahl Masr Hospital for victims of accidents and burns, the Oncology Hospital in Upper Egypt, the Oncology Institute at Cairo University, and last, but not least, the Misr Al-Khair Foundation, and the government hospitals at Al-Azhar University.

She concluded by saying: I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to all parties and officials who spared no effort in organizing and making this humanitarian charity race a success. We also wish success to all participants.
