The State Information Service stated that the Egyptian Embassy in Sudan successfully rescued 18 students and some of their parents who were stuck in Wad Madani, Jazeera State, Sudan, which had lately been impacted by armed disputes.
The Egyptian Embassy worked with Sudanese authorities to ensure that the Egyptian students were evacuated from the city and arrived safely at the Egyptian Consulate in Port Sudan. After that, students were flown to the Egyptian border and arrived safely home.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has asked all residents residing in Sudan in all states, including those who weren’t affected by the violent clashes, to leave Sudan immediately and don’t travel during the current circumstances.
