They presented gifts and played songs… An Egyptian-Russian delegation visited Hospital 57357

The Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities, in cooperation with the Russian School in Cairo affiliated with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Russia to Egypt, and the Sohba Forum for Fine Arts, organized a visit to the Children’s Cancer Hospital Foundation 57357.

According to a statement issued by the Russian Cultural Center in Cairo, Russian children presented gifts to the children of Hospital 57357, and some of these gifts were made by the Russian children themselves, such as dolls, and they are part of Russian folklore.

The director of the Russian School in Cairo, Valery Pribetkov, accompanied by Russian women Irina Forteskaya, Vladislav Ananev, Ulyana Odniko, and Anastasia Chervonnaya, distributed gifts to children in the hospital.

Then the plastic artist Samar Samir and a group of other artists Abeer Muhammad, Wahba Abdel Rasoul, Walaa Abu Rayyah, Maryam Ahmed, Sarah Al-Harouni, and Dr. Hoda Mubarak organized an art workshop for the hospital children on how to make Christmas gifts themselves, and the children lived moments of happiness and enjoyed the artistic participation. The delegation also visited the one-day treatment department, where they had the opportunity to give them gifts and alleviate their pain.

Then artist Luisa Bledjantz, supervisor of the choral department at the Russian House in Cairo, accompanied by children Adam Gladon, Anna Hisham, and Victoria Kaplina, performed a group of popular Russian songs in the hospital courtyard, and the sick children, their families, doctors, and nurses gathered around them.

The delegation of the Egyptian Association for Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities included Dr. Fathi Towan, Secretary-General, and its members, Dr. Walid Ali, Dr. Ayman Montaser, and photojournalist Khaled Sharif.

For his part, the Secretary General of the Egyptian Association for Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities praised the great effort of the hospital administration in addition to the volunteers who come every day to help the children. The delegation also visited the schools department and learned about the possibilities available to provide study opportunities and take exams for sick children. They also visited the art department where the paintings exhibition is located. For sick children, a Russian girl donated an artistic painting of Russian nature to the hospital.

For his part, the director of the Russian School in Cairo thanked the Egyptian Association for Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities for providing the opportunity for Russian children to visit the hospital, stressing that we see visiting the hospital as an educational work for our children.

The President of the Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities thanked the Russian ambassador in Cairo for agreeing to organize the visit, and thanked the administration and director of the Russian School in Cairo for participating in distributing gifts to the hospital’s children in a humanitarian gesture that confirms the depth of relations between the two peoples.

The Russian-Egyptian delegation was received by Mira Doss, Head of the Publishing Department at the 57357 Foundation, Mohamed Al-Masry, Public Relations Officer, Mona Saad, the Schools Department Officer, and Alaa Hatem, Coordinator in the Schools Department at the 57357 Foundation.
