Mr. Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, called on the parties in the Republic of Sudan to stop the escalation and stop the bloodshed of the Sudanese people immediately, stressing the Arab Parliament’s support and assistance to Sudan in maintaining security and stability and reaching a political settlement of the current crisis in Sudan.
This came on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Sudan, which falls on January 1 of every year.
Al-Asoumi stressed that this dear occasion comes in light of a difficult and dangerous stage that the Republic of Sudan is going through, and requires the concerted efforts of all Arab efforts to stop the bleeding of Sudanese blood and make the political process successful in a way that guarantees the fulfillment of the hopes and aspirations of the Sudanese people, expressing his hope that this occasion will restore security to Sudan. Peace and stability.
