Counselor Walid Hamza, head of the National elections Authority , confirmed that the name of the winner of the new president of the republic will be announced next 16 January.
During a global press conference held by the National elections Authority to announce its decision to call for the upcoming presidential elections, he added that every citizen must speak their mind at the election box and that the authority is standing at an equal distance from all candidates.
He explained that in case there’s a runoff, the electoral campaign will stop on January 4, 2024, and that the election time outside Egypt will be from 9 am to 9 pm local time for each country.
He revealed that the special elections in the case of the runoff inside Egypt will be from 9 am to 9 pm.
He added that the elections will be held outside the Arab Republic of Egypt on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, December 1, 2023.
“Hamza” added, during a global press conference held by the National elections Authority to announce its decision to call for the upcoming presidential elections, that the elections inside Egypt will be on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday 10, 11, and 12 December.
He pointed out that the runoff will be on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 5, 6, and 7, January 2024, and that the runoff inside Egypt will be on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 8, 9, and 10, January 2024.
