“The trade relationship between the United States and Egypt is a vital component of our strategic partnership and a key driver of our bilateral cooperation, starting from the areas of energy and infrastructure as well as agriculture, education, tourism, and consumption,” said Ambassador Hero Mostafa Garg, US Ambassador to Egypt.
This came in her comment during the visit of a bipartisan delegation from the United States Senate and House of Representatives, led by US Senator Joni Ernst, to Egypt, today, Wednesday, to discuss continued cooperation between the two countries.
The ambassador added, in a statement issued by the US Embassy in Cairo, that American companies are cooperating with their Egyptian counterparts to provide innovative solutions and high-quality goods and services to the Egyptian market and beyond.
The Ambassador added: “As we look to the future, we see tremendous potential to continue expanding and deepening our trade relations, especially in the areas of clean energy, climate technology, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship.”
Today, Wednesday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a delegation from the Democratic and Republican parties from various committees in the US Congress, headed by Senator Joni Ernst, in the presence of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.

The official spokesman added that the meeting witnessed an open dialogue between the President and the American delegation regarding developments in the regional scene, especially in the Gaza Strip, where the President reviewed the general context of the current situation, stressing the need to work seriously on a just and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue, through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
