By Manal Abdel Fattah

Mr. Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, condemned the classification announced by the US Secretary of State regarding the status of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia among what he called “countries of concern regarding freedom of religion,” calling on the United States of America to completely stop politicizing the human rights file in Arab countries and using it as an excuse to intervene in… its internal affairs.

The Speaker of the Arab Parliament asked about the justifications that give a state the right to evaluate other fully sovereign states on issues related to human rights, and on what basis does it position itself as guardian of the rest of the countries of the world, while there are international organizations and recognized international paths through which all related topics are discussed. Human rights in all countries of the world.

The President of the Arab Parliament stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a major country and does not need to confirm that its systems guarantee and guarantee all legitimate freedoms for citizens and residents alike, including religious freedom and the free practice of religions by people of different religions in their places of residence, stressing that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the leading countries. At the Arab, regional and international levels in the field of developing and advancing the human rights system in general, especially in light of the unlimited support that this system enjoys from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his faithful Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, may God protect them. May God protect them.

Al-Asomi added that with the complete rejection and condemnation of what the American classification included in this regard in general and detail, the United States of America has no right to talk about an assessment of the human rights situation in any part of the world, and it is fully participating in the largest crime in the modern era. It is committed against human rights, through its support, with money, weapons, and politics, of the occupying power in the war crimes and genocide it commits against civilians in the Gaza Strip, in disregard of all international conventions, customs, and laws, especially international humanitarian law.
